is to maintain their strong, people focused culture, which is organized and
used at the corporation level of Darden Restaurants. In order to maintain this
goal, fostering a team of exceptional leaders at all levels of the company

reflected on the people focused culture. Another competitive advantage of
Bahama Breeze's, which is organized at the corporate level, is their vibrant

Integrity and Fairness – It all starts with integrity and fairness. We trust in the integrity and fairness of each other to always do the right thing, to be open, honest and forthright with ourselves and others, to demonstrate courage, to solve without blame and to follow through on all our commitments.
Respect and Caring – We reach out with respect and caring. We have a genuine interest in the well-being of others. We know the importance of listening, the power of understanding and the immeasurable value of support.
Diversity - Even though we have a common vision, we embrace and celebrate our individual differences. We are strengthened by a diversity of cultures, perspectives, attitudes, and ideas. We honor each other's heritage and uniqueness. Our power of diversity makes a world of difference.
Always Learning, Always Teaching - We learn from others as they learn from us. We learn. We teach. We grow.
Being of Service – Being of service is our pleasure. We treat people as special and appreciated by giving of ourselves, doing more than expected, anticipating needs, and making a difference.
Teamwork – Teamwork works. By trusting one another, we bring together the best in all of us and go beyond the boundaries of ordinary success.
Excellence - We have a passion to set and to pursue, with innovation, courage and humility,
ever higher standards.
To acquire the best operations of the restaurant, Bahama Breeze strives to accomplish the following: reduce costs, avoid delays, reduce wastes, improve quality, and minimize mistakes or delays. These factors are all of critical importance to the operations of inventory management. It is necessary for the restaurant to keep their costs at a minimum when ordering the necessary products, which is why they have a selection of vendors that provide them with the best products at the most reasonable prices. Next, when ordering inventory for the restaurant, such as an imporant order of meats for an upcoming event, Bahama Breeze needs to ensure that the order is on time. Therefore, choosing vendors and distributors that are geographically located near them are vital to the on time deliveries, which decrease delays. Reducing wastes is another element of inventory of Bahama Breeze that helps to measure the efficiency of inventory operations. If the operations manager orders too much inventory, such as produce, and does not use all of it, those products will go to waste. To reduce wastes it is important for the manager to be accurate with counting inventory and comparing the numbers to the par number to achieve the quantity that should be ordered.
Goals of Management:
Bahama Breeze is also concerned with improving the overall quality of the food they serve to their guests, which includes how their ingredients are produced, processed and transported, to how the meals are eventually prepared. Darden Restaurant Group has partnered with the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) to develop ways to reduce overall calorie and sodium footprint of thier core menu by 10 percent by 2015. Darden Restaurant Group is dedicated to ensuring that the food they select meets all of their food safety standards and is approved by their interal team before selecting it as an item to carry.
Goals of Management:
There are many targets that Bahama Breeze has for this year, many of which are created by the corporate staff of Darden Restaurant Group. As a subsidary of Darden, Darden Restaurant Group strives to improve the sustainability of their supply chain by partnering with key suppliers, scientists, industries, and communitites.
